Lens and Patrikka’s Baby Shower (It’s a boy!)

This baby shower was like a wedding reception!!! There was a DJ, a tent and a clown to entertain the kids. But more than any of that Lens and Patrikka were beaming! You can just see the joy radiating from them as they anticipate their little baby boy’s arrival. Here’s a few photographs.

The Antidote #2

Last night Brendan and I sat in the movie theater together. Our feet propped up on the seats in front of us, eyes glued to the screen- except mine where filled with tears. We were watching Fireproof. I was very intrigued when this movie came out and I heard that it was made by a church and cost half a million (the average Hollywood movie costs 70 million). I’m so glad we went to see it! There are so many crazy movies out there, I’m so happy to see something positive. I really really really recommend that you go and see this movie. You will be blessed. It’s got a wonderful message.

The Antidote #1

An antidoteor counterdose is a substance which can counteract a form of poisoning. -Thanks Wikipedia!

I’m starting something on here called “The Antidote.” Our world bombards us with images, text, media, etc. that can be so negative to our lives. Sooo…I’m starting the Antidote to counteract some of that poison.

I just want to encourage everyone who comes on here to read this blog- life is a lot more than photography after all.

I thought a good way to start would be with an excerpt from Max Lucado’s book Cure for the Common Life.

“You are heaven’s custom design. At a moment before moments existed, the sovereign Star Maker resolved, “I will make _____________.” Your name goes in the blank. Stephen, Aby, Emma, BABY!

Remember Aby? (The really talanted photographer and friend or mine?) Well, I had the huge previlage of taking pics of her family. Stephen was the pastor of our Young Adults Group at church when he met Aby. Three years ago we painted pottery on a double date! Now they have one sweet little girl and a baby on the way (IT’S A BOY!)
