Hi World!
Brendan and I got the privilege of capturing the wedding of a wonderful couple last month! You might remember Michelle and Jared from their e-session (which happened to be one of my favorite e-sessions.) This couple is so warm and inviting and I was really looking forward to seeing them again! They were married at The Mayfair Hotel in Miami, absolutely wonderful location for a wedding!
I’m starting a new little thing with my blog posts. I’ve asked Michelle and Jared some questions and they were kind enough to share the answers with us. That way, as you read the post, you can find out more about them from the best source possible!
In their own words:
1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourselves? Jared and Michelle have been best friends for many years, even before becoming a couple. They live in New York City, with their dog, Rocky.
2. What were your thoughts walking down the aisle? Blank…Oh my gosh, there are so many flashing bulbs, I feel like a celebrity…Blank…My shoes hurt.
3. What was your most touching wedding day memory? Our cantor performed a wonderful ceremony and it was very touching to hear the beautiful things that she was saying as we held hands and looked into each others eyes.
4. What are some plans you have as a married couple? We’d like to travel in the next few years
5. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Maui –we loooved it!
6. Tell us the best marriage advice you’ve heard. Forgive and then Forget it -Amnesia
7. How does he make you laugh? Jared is a very witty guy, he’s always making me laugh.
8. What does your favorite date night consist of? Night-in with movies, red wine, spaghetti and meatballs, and some toasty bread
9. How did you meet? We met through friends and were good friends for a very long time before we became a couple
10. How did he propose? Jared had planned a trip to Kennebunkport for my birthday. On the night of my birthday, we went out to dinner at a gorgeous restaurant on a cliff overlooking the water. After dinner, Jared asked me to go on a walk with him to the edge of the cliff and watch the sun go down. Summer nights in Maine are chilly and I was wearing a strappy dress, so I ran back to the car and suggested that we go back to our cabin and change into something warmer and then go for a walk (I had no clue that he was going to propose and that I had just ruined his moment). When we got back to the cabin, Jared was so anxious to propose that he just came up behind me and asked me to close my eyes and make a birthday wish, when I turned around, he was down on one knee, holding a ring, and asking me to spend the rest of my life with him.
The super cool Rocky!
