Steph and Arshley E-Sesh!

What a great time with these two.  I was looking forward to this session so much because I knew that Arshley and Stephania wanted to do something really cool and creative.  I love that…when people want to try something different, or personal.  Also, as you will see, they were super cool outfits.  Believe it or not, that makes a HUGE difference to the look and feel of your photos and the “vibe” they give off.

You might remember Arshley and Steph from their proposal shoot as well as Arshley’s Art Shoot.  I can’t wait for their wedding!

The Jackson Fam :)

Karina Promised to Ryan :)

What a fun e-session!  We are really looking forward to Karina and Ryan’s wedding in March.  It was great to spend some time with them and get to know them a little.  Karina is so beautiful and her smile and laugh is so lovely- it lights up the photos.  Ryan is a wonderful compliment to her.  Here is a little about them in their own words!

1. Three words that describe us: sarcastic, playful, fun.

2. How did you meet?  We met at work 9 years ago. Karina didn’t like Ryan at first, she thought he was rude and stuck up, but he quickly won his way into her heart. Specially when she found out he was also a dog person :)

3.   Favorite thing to do together: fall asleep on the couch while watching tv (with our dogs of course). We also enjoy traveling together.

4.  What are you looking forward to?  We’ve been together so long that we are looking forward to finally being husband and wife, starting a family and just growing old together.

Ryan loves golf.

Karina loves sweet heels :) (I think)

We shot at the South Florida Fair!

The ride flying past our heads :)

Paola and Nick Wedding

This wedding was just breath-taking from beginning to end!   And what really made everything extra special was the warmth  of the bride and groom as well as their family and friends.  We just loved everyone!   They were genuine, kind and funny.  Paola you are stunning and a pleasure to be around, and Nick we enjoyed meeting you so much!

I’ll be posting more photos soon!  But for now a few photos and a little bit from our bride and groom themselves!

What were your thoughts walking down the aisle?

Nick – I guess I was a little nervous because all I remember is Paola’s mom whispering “Slow down, Nick!”

What is your most touching wedding day memory?

Nick – My favorite memory was sipping champagne and laughing in the back of the Silver Bentley with my new bride on our way back to the reception.  We had not seen each other since the night before and had so many things to talk about.

Paola- I think it was during our first dance to “Beyond the Sea.” I remember looking at him and it reminded me of the first time we danced together. It stunned me that we were here, dancing at our wedding, making me realize how far we’ve come.

How does he make you laugh?

Nick laughs at pretty much everything. He has the loudest, most sincere burst of laughter I have ever heard. Every time I hear him laugh, I can’t help but to laugh myself.

How did you meet?

We met in London in 2005.  At the time we were both in different law schools, but both had international internships for the summer in London.  The program that set up the internships included several other students and we met casually at several group events. We finally clicked while dancing and realized we shared a similar sense of humor. We immediately felt like lifelong friends.

How did he propose?

We had planned a cruise in the Baltic in 2007 and stopped in London (where we met) for a few days on route to the boat.  We spent the day sightseeing and revisiting some of our old spots. We went for a stroll around sunset and walked down past Big Ben and out onto Westminster Bridge. That is where Nick proposed.  Ironically Paola had dropped her first hint regarding marriage earlier that day. She was completely surprised.

Note from Kal (I LOVE HEARING ALL THESE LOVELY DETAILS!!!!!!!)

The Bride and Groom were getting ready at the beautiful Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Miami.  A truly breath-taking place.

Arshley’s Art

Arshley is a very talented artist!  Brendan and I are very excited to be shoot Arshley and his beautiful fiancee Stephania’s wedding.  You might also remember the photos from Arshley’s proposal.  He made a movie and rented a theater to propose!  It was so cool!

Pretty soon he will me launching his website with tons and tons of cool art.  I love to paint so it was really interesting for me to listen to all the stories behind his paintings!  But you can hear more about him in his own words!

The words that best describes me are goofy ,spiritual, and passionate. I love anything that deals with art and people and how the two intertwine. My dream is to capture the essence of mankind.  Art is not just about manipulating strokes on a bare canvas….it’s so much more then that.  Art is the spontaneous dialect between this world and the intricate configuration of thoughts liberated onto a canvas that is full of potential; the same potential that frees us of our own ignorance and opens our minds to be inspired by vast impressions. It’s hard to say what my accomplishments are becasue I see my life as more so a posture or better yet a positional stance rather then some tangible indicator of my own humanity. As for what inspires me, the list is endless. Aside from God, my fiance and brother, I would have to say that my greatest inspiration is driven by my passion for people as well as the simpliest manifestation of God’s splendor.  My fingers itch and my imagination flows from the simpliest things…the shifting of clouds on a pink backdrop, the untameable pitch of laughter bouncing of empty walls, the wave-like effect of a frown, and life!

If you are interested in his works, please contact Arshley via email (emilearshley@yahoo.com).

Arshley does a lot of work with spray paint.

A little bit of Romeo and Juliet action going on :)

One of my favorites.
