Kenia Promised to Matt- Epic Wedding

Brendan and I had the privilege of shooting Matt and Kenia’s wonderful wedding in Miami, Florida.  You might remember their e-session at a carnival!  It was such a fun session and since then we have been looking forward to the wedding.  Hope you enjoy the photos :)

Matt and Kenia’s getting ready and reception was at the ultra-cool EPIC HOTEL.

A little glimpse of our beautiful bride :)

Two beautiful bridesmaids :)

Such a beauty!

Love these cuties!  The little guy was all about posing for the camera, he did a great job!

Matt getting ready!

We love St.Patrick Church!  I actually started tearing up because it’s so beautiful.  I know I’m crazy.

Matt being really high tech before walking down the aisle!

Phase two of waiting to walk down the aisle :)

I just love Matt’s expression as Kenia walked down the aisle!  I think it’s the face brides hope for :)

We headed back to the Epic for some more photos and the party!!!!

Beau-tyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

As Matt and Kenia danced the curtains parted and revealed Miami, it was beautiful!

Grandparents who know how to party!!!

This is really cool- it’s Matt and Kenia’s guestbook and the whole thing was photos from their carnival e-session.

Great day!  We hope you have a wonderful and blessed life together and we wish you all the best :)

Also, I just wanted to mention that www.julienformergestudios.com was Matt and Kenia’s videographer and we looooved his work.  Check it out!

Ana Promised to Mike= 4 eva

We first met Mike and his guys and took a few getting ready pics.

This is Mike’s HUGE but veeeery lovable dog :)

The guys doing a little Beatles.

Isn’t Ana such a gorgeous bride!!!!??

We jumped in the limo with the girls!

That’s love…

The preview to the shot of the girls holding Mike up!  I love it!!!

The reception was held at the super-delicious-and-cool Capital Grille! This is where Mike and Ana got engaged so it was very special and meaningful to have the wedding there.  At the end of the reception, we went right into the wine cellar for these photos!  It was soooooo cooooooool to get to do that :) :) :)

Paola and Nick Wedding

This wedding was just breath-taking from beginning to end!   And what really made everything extra special was the warmth  of the bride and groom as well as their family and friends.  We just loved everyone!   They were genuine, kind and funny.  Paola you are stunning and a pleasure to be around, and Nick we enjoyed meeting you so much!

I’ll be posting more photos soon!  But for now a few photos and a little bit from our bride and groom themselves!

What were your thoughts walking down the aisle?

Nick – I guess I was a little nervous because all I remember is Paola’s mom whispering “Slow down, Nick!”

What is your most touching wedding day memory?

Nick – My favorite memory was sipping champagne and laughing in the back of the Silver Bentley with my new bride on our way back to the reception.  We had not seen each other since the night before and had so many things to talk about.

Paola- I think it was during our first dance to “Beyond the Sea.” I remember looking at him and it reminded me of the first time we danced together. It stunned me that we were here, dancing at our wedding, making me realize how far we’ve come.

How does he make you laugh?

Nick laughs at pretty much everything. He has the loudest, most sincere burst of laughter I have ever heard. Every time I hear him laugh, I can’t help but to laugh myself.

How did you meet?

We met in London in 2005.  At the time we were both in different law schools, but both had international internships for the summer in London.  The program that set up the internships included several other students and we met casually at several group events. We finally clicked while dancing and realized we shared a similar sense of humor. We immediately felt like lifelong friends.

How did he propose?

We had planned a cruise in the Baltic in 2007 and stopped in London (where we met) for a few days on route to the boat.  We spent the day sightseeing and revisiting some of our old spots. We went for a stroll around sunset and walked down past Big Ben and out onto Westminster Bridge. That is where Nick proposed.  Ironically Paola had dropped her first hint regarding marriage earlier that day. She was completely surprised.

Note from Kal (I LOVE HEARING ALL THESE LOVELY DETAILS!!!!!!!)

The Bride and Groom were getting ready at the beautiful Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Miami.  A truly breath-taking place.

It was wonderful spending the (EARLY) morning with Stacey and Zeke!  They are so in love!!!!

The Proposal

When Arshley called me about his engagement I could just tell how much planning and prep had gone into his plan.  Being an artist, he knew exactly what he wanted and retold his vision to me with lots of excitement.  We were thrilled to be a part of this experience,  I have always thought that capturing a proposal on camera is a great idea!

Friends and family as well as Brendan and I met up at Muvico for the proposal.  Stephania and Arshley were to arrive together, enter the theater and once she saw everyone he would get down on one knee and ask her to marry him.  I was so nervous waiting for that moment as they walked into Theater Two, my knees were shaking!!!  Sure enough the beautiful Stephania, excitedly said yes!

Arshley had spend hours and hours making a video for his new bride to be and we all watched it together following the proposal.  The cute couple laughed and cuddled and enjoyed their moment.  Then we all went to Maggianos for a little after proposal celebrating!

Arshley and Stephania, you guys make such a cute couple, and are just naturals in front of the camera!  Congrats on the engagement!

Put me in the ZOO!!! (Lucy and Sal’s Wedding!!!)

One of my prayers for Kalia Lily Photography is that God would bring the right clients to us, and what a blessing praying that has been!  I can truly say that we have worked with such amazing Brides and Grooms.  I thought about that prayer a lot with Lucy and Sal’s wedding.  I met with Lucy and her mom a few months ago at Starbucks and we hit it off from the beginning.  I was so excited for their wedding because this couple it just lovely and their venue was the ZOO!!!

I knew that Lucy was going to be a stunning bride and sure enough, she was!

Lucy Grandmother was so excited to see her!

Lucy and Sal’s first sight.  A very exciting moment and semi-private moment (everyone was watching from Lucy’s bedroom window!) haha

The Bridal Party :)

Lucy’s Mom and Dad.

When Lucy and Sal were introduced as husband and wife, the fountain can on.

Yes, it’s a monkey.

I love this little guy.  Notice how he blinks at different times :)

This was the biggest party EVER!

For the reception, Lucy wanted to be able to dance so she changed into this red dress!  We did some after dark pics of her and Sal.

Thanks so much for including us in your special day.

Jena and Paul get MARRIED!

On your wedding day it’s so easy to feel like you are going to lose your mind!  There is so much going on and all the attention is on you.  I, like many brides wish I could go back and just enjoy the day instead of worrying about the little details.  Well, Jena was that relaxed bride!  When most brides need someone to calm them down and tell them everything is going to be OK, it was Jena who was the laid back and easy going!!!!

It rained!  Most girls would have had a fit.  Not Jena.  She just hung out with her girls getting ready and trusted that everything was going to work out.  And it did!!!! It actually more than “worked out” it was perfect!

Paul was such a sweet groom.  I just love the look on his face when Jena came down the stairs to do the first sight.  Oh it was so sweet!  And he is just so nice to everyone.  He was so careful to make sure that Brendan and I were ok even though it was their day.

We really love you guys and had a wonderful time at your wedding!  Thank you for being so caring and sweet.  Jena you look absolutely stunning and I love the green shoes 4eva!!!!!

I love when Redheads rock out green!!!

Courtney and Enrique- The E-Session!

Courtney and Enrique got a very special treat from Courtney’s aunt Melissa.  It was a e-session!  I thought that was so sweet of Melissa to do for them!  We met on a beautiful day!  Lately it’s been really hot and windy here in South Flo, but not this day- it was a pleasure to be outside.

Courtney and Enrique were very easy to shoot because they effortlessly feel into amazing poses as they talked and hunged and just hung out with each other.  I just love when that happens.

Here are so photos from our day :)

She’s so pretty!

Lindsey and Bill- The E-Session

It was one of those sessions that reminded me how much I love my job!  I get to work with my husband Brendan and a super cool couple!!! Lindsey and Bill drove down from north Florida to do this session with us and we really had a great time with them.  I laughed so hard!!!.  (Uncontrollable laughter doesn’t really help when you’re telling someone to give you their “diva face”)  They were wonderful!!!!  Here are a few photos from the day :) Warming : She’s a real beauty :)

A Great Orlando Day! Nick and Kathleen’s Wedding

I’ve been excited for this wedding ever since we shot the e-session a few months ago.  Nick and Kathleen were so friendly and fun.

From the moment Brendan and I arrived we could see that Nick and Kathleen wanted to make their wedding not only about each other, but God as well.  We just loved that.  This couple is so warm and inviting and shows so much love to each other and their friends and family.  A guest came to the front of the room during the reception because she wanted to share with everyone how kind Kathleen had been to her, how she had made her feel welcome and showed her love when she was new to the area.  It’s truly the character of both Kathleen and Nick.

I was so excited to go up to Orlando for their wedding.  Even though Orlando is only 2 1/2 hours away from where we live it feels like a totally different place.  The houses are different, the people dress differently, I don’t know it’s just different and I like that.  The wedding took place at a beautiful country club which served as a magnificent backdrop for photos during the day and a hopping dance floor at night!  This crowd was excited and ready to party!!!!

Kathleen and Nick, thank you so much for everything.  Thank you so much for inviting us into your day and letting us follow you around!  I was so touched when I saw our place card!  hehe

The Dress :)

The beautiful Bride :)

Love the sun glasses!

What a cute couple!

We had to shoot this through a sun roof.  J/K

I couldn’t decide which ring shot I liked more :)

Haha it was too loud for this little guy!
